'The food, has, on every occasion, been excellent, the staff efficient'.

'The combination of flavours were superb'.

'Service, food, wine - the LOT! - were exceptional.'

We had just arrived from Georgia (USA) in St Andrews for a wedding that was to occur 6/24 & tried to eat at the Grill House the nite of our arrival - 6/22/06 - due to St Andrews' graduation & no reservations, we were unable to - BUT, we were directed by a MOST helpful young man to 2 other possible restaurants in town, to include a map, for these Out-of-Towners. Because of our experience the nite before, we returned the next day for lunch!!! I kept asking the same young man if he was the owner - but he denied it over and over!!! I was beginning to wonder if he ever left the premises?!?!?! I promised I would write and commend him on his superb abilities and talents! All of the staff seemed to be enjoying their work - even with a shocking pen!! - was it due to Ben's attitude and work ethic? No doubt the food was good but the interaction with and attention by the staff added to our dining pleasure!

Our final dining experience at the Grill House occured 6/25, almost at closing time. We were worn weary sightseers, returning from our day's journey to Loch Ness & even though it was 'almost time to close', no one made us feel as if they wished we'd not straggled in!! Again, due to Ben's attitude and outlook?!!!

With such a cheerful and positive manager, the Grill House can only succeed. We wish you continued success and are thankful for the pleasure of dining there.

Cheerful and informal, with a good range of hearty Mexican dishes including manchamanteles, chicken stew and lamb birria.

'My guacamole was fresh and zingy, with enough texture that the ingredients were still recognisable...My companion's Coctel - a perky concoction of tiger prawns, avocado, tomato, pineapple and coriander with a tomato and paprika mayonnaise - was deemed to be 'completely delicious'. Not a word was uttered until my companion was at least two-thirds of the way through his beef chilli, and when he did finally speak, to my surprise, it was to announce that this was one of the best things he had eaten outside his own home all year.'
